How to make hanging tulle decorations for parties

Step by step instructions for how to make hanging tulle decorations for parties. Here is a link about how to organise a 21st birthday party with week by week checklists.

Step 1: Measure the length of the room or wall you wish to hang the tulle from. Then decide what colour theme you will have. I had purple and pink.
Step 2: Buy the tulle in that length in the colours you want. You may want 1, 2 or 3 colours to be hanging. Also buy the same length and width in white cotton or canvas if it will get wet. This will be the backing.
Step 3: Sew the coloured tulle onto the white backing material. Also add some string to the ends in a tube and the middle, so you can pull them tight once they are hung to make the wavy effect. You can see in the photo above where they are gathered at the ends.

Step 4: Hang the tulle up for the party. We added balloons to where the tulle joins each other to hid the strings.
