Side driveway creeper wall progress

Here is the progress of our creeper over the last three months of summer. I have been patiently threading the creeper across the bottom of the trellis and waiting for it grow. Joshua has also been helping me too!

The plant used here is a hardy jasmine with white flowers.  This creeper wall is along our property boundary and also along the edge of a side driveway.
Here are the photos of the first summer that we had the creeper.

Here is the photo one year later.

Undercover sandpit and ball sports area

Recently Joshua got a new sandpit, basketball ring, bowling game and a shooting ball games area. He absolutely loves it! I think its great, as we can move it undercover in winter and not get wet by the rain.
Joshua with Grandpa checking out his new sandpit and ball area.
Joshua figured out the green sandpit lid very quickly.

Ball games:

Joshua loves sliding the balls down the two blue slides into a ball pit.

You can also fill the bottom area with water on hot days.

The sandpit
Joshua's favourite thing is to play with the sand and make a mess!
He also likes to use all the sandpit tools.

30th Birthday Party Chocolate Cake recipe

Here is the recipe for an easy chocolate cake to make.
I baked this cake for Ryan’s 30th birthday party.
I also made cupcakes using the same recipe. I will write more on this later.
Chocolate Cake recipe
1 cup (125g) self raising flour
1 cup (155g) brown sugar
1/3 cup (45g) of cocoa powder
1/4 cup (30g) plain flour
1/4 teaspoon bicarb soda
100g dark chocolate melted
125g butter
3 eggs
3/4 cup (190ml) milk

Step 1: Preheat the oven to moderately slow, 160 degrees C/140 degrees C fan-forced. Grease a deep 20cm round cake tin and line the base with baking paper

Step 2: Beat butter and sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time until just combined.

Step 3: Stir in sifted flours, bicarb soda and cocoa, then stir in the melted chocolate and milk Spread in cake tin and bake for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes or until firm to touch.

Step 4: Leave in cake tin for 15 minutes, then turn onto wire rack to cool.

Step 5: Decorate with icing, strawberries or berries. Normally I add icing and berries! For Ryan’s 30th birthday party I used thick chocolate icing and then added the white icing letters once they set to the top.
