Old brass lamp revamp

Recently I found this lamp on eBay for $5.00. I decided to buy it and give it a face lift. Here is how I did it:

The lamp before I started:

Here is afterwards!

 Directions:
  • First I cleaned the metal and removed the round cream coloured ball.
  • Then I replaced the cream ball in the stand with a glass section.
  • Next I gave all the metal areas a coat of metal primmer paint.
  • Once this was dry, I applied two coats of metical silver paint.
  • Finally I was ready to remove the old lampshade and replace it with a newer and cleaner shade. I got this one from target for $10.00.
  • Once I put the lampshade on it was ready to display.
Hope this inspires you to have a go.
